Featuring Bosch Full-Force Technology, the Bosch FNA250-15 15 Gauge Angled Finish Nailer utilizes the full force of the compressed air delivered to it by an air compressor for driving nails. This means that nails are consistently flushed even in the hardest of woods. Just as important is that with this technology, the makers of the nailer are able to reduce its bulk by as much as 20% compared to other finish nailers in the market.
These are made possible with the elimination of the return chamber. Regular nailers have a chamber at the front end of the cylinder to where air in front of the piston is forced and compressed when the nailer is fired. It is this air that forces the piston back to its original position after it has driven the nail. At the same time, however, it also dampens the forward momentum of the piston thus reducing its power.
Full-force technology eliminates this. The air at the front of the piston, instead of being forced into a return chamber, is vented out thus eliminating resistance. In order to return the piston to its rearward position, a new gust of air from the compressor is introduced into the nailer when the trigger is released. The result is that the force of the compressed air is fully utilized and the bulk of the machine is reduced.
The 60 – 120 PSI drives delivered by the FNA250-15 are sufficient to securely embed 15 gauge finish nails with lengths of 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches into your work. With its angled design and small size, it can easily access tight spaces.
You can choose between bump and sequential firing simply by flipping a lever. Depth of drive is adjustable without tools. The same thing is true for clearing jams and adjusting air exhaust.
A dry-fire lockout prevents damaging blank firing, while a self-cleaning air filter keeps dust and debris from seeping into the machine.
