With a casing that is crafted from magnesium, the Bostitch BT200K-2 18 Gauge Brad Nailer is a lightweight yet durable tool that is comfortable to use even for prolonged periods. This is further assured by its ergonomic design and balanced weight distribution. On top of these, the handle is wrapped with a molded rubber grip that is soft to grasp, and which minimizes slipping.
The nailer fires 5/8- to 2-inch brad nails and is thus suited for finish and trim work, furniture and cabinet assembly, installation of panels and sidings, construction of staircases, and working with hobbies, arts, and crafts.
A magazine capacity of 100 brad nails allows you to stay in your post longer, with a minimum number of times for reloading. A reload indicator that is easily seen warns you if you need to replenish the magazine. To make reloading quick and easy, a magnetic strip is included to hold the fasteners in place.
Depth of drive is adjustable, and with a driving power of 170 inch-pounds, it can easily countersink or flush the nails with the surface of even the toughest hardwood or engineered wood. With a no-mar tip, you can confidently press the nailer's nozzle against your work without worrying about damaging it.
Although nail jams are infrequent, the nailer is fitted with an open nose to facilitate the removal of offending nails. At the opposite end from the nose, is the rear exhaust vent that can be rotated up to 360° to keep blasts of air away from you and your work.
