The Bostitch N89C-1 is designed for framing work and fastening trusses, as well as for bridging, decking, fencing, sheathing, siding, and strapping. It can also be used for the assembly of crates and pallets, and attachment of wood to masonry. It shoots 2- to 3½-inch 15° coil framing nails with shank diameters ranging from 0.099 to 0.148 inch.
The nails are contained in a coil magazine that can accommodate from 225 to 300 nails depending on nail size. With this capacity, downtime due to magazine reloads is minimized, thus increasing your productivity.
With a driving power of 1,050 inch-pounds and operating pressure between 70 to 120 PSI, the framing nailer can easily drive nails into the hardest of woods. Indeed, it can even handle masonry. Depth of drive is adjusted using a patented push button. This allows you have all your nails flushed with the surface of your work.
Firing can be either in a single mode, for your more sensitive work, or sequential for speed of work and when nail placement is not of paramount importance. The front end of the nailer has a rubber nosepiece to protect your work from scratches and nicks. The tail end, on the other hand, has an adjustable exhaust to direct cast-off air away from you.
The sides of the magnesium casing include wear guards to protect the yellow paint finish of the case when laid down at the work place where, presumably, there are plenty of dust, dirt, and other abrasive materials lying around.
The handle of the Bostitch N89C-1 Coil Framing Nailer is wrapped with a rubber grip that reduces slipping, and also provides a softer and more comfortable hold.
