Weighing less than three pounds, the Craftsman Model 68492 EasyFire Staple and Nail Gun is easy to use and does not strain the hands even for extended periods, or for nailing items over your head. Its compact ergonomic design makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces and recesses.
The EasyFire shoots 9/16-inch brad nails as well as ¼- through 9/16-inch heavy-duty narrow crown staples. This makes it ideal for working on home crafts and hobbies, upholstery, picture frames, and trims or moldings. You can also use it when installing wall panels as well as window and door casings. In addition to its nailing and tacking functions, the nailer incorporates a wire guide that holds low-voltage wires, helping you position them for easier tacking. This makes the EasyFire a three-in-one tool –a nailer, stapler, and wire tacker.
Although the trigger is smooth, easily activated, and can be fired in rapid sequence, the nailer is equipped with a one-touch trigger safety lock to prevent accidental firing that could lead to personal injury. A nail and staple window on the magazine is fitted enabling you to monitor their levels. Reloading is easy and is done by inserting nails or staples at the bottom of the magazine.
The Craftsman Model 68492 EasyFire Staple and Nail Gun is powered by electricity. No need to run a compressor to operate the nailer. All you need is an electric outlet which means you can work in any room in your house. Its power draw down is only 10 amps. Equipped with an 8-foot power cord, additional extension wires are not necessary.
