Created to make fastening sidings, construction of decks, and building fences faster and easier, the Duo-Fast DF225C Coil Siding Nailer System shoots CS or CI series plastic collated coil nails with round heads, with shanks of either the smooth, ring, or screw type.
The nailer drives zero-degree plastic collated coil nails with lengths ranging from 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches. Shank diameter can vary from 0.080 to 0.105 inch. The nails can be electro-galvanized, hot-dipped galvanized, or made of aluminum or stainless steel. These are contained in a coil magazine that has a capacity of 300 nails, which means you do not spend too much time reloading. As the sides of the magazine are clear, you can readily see if it needs to be reloaded.
Running at an operating pressure between 80 to 120 PSI, you are assured of enough pressure to drive your nails through hardwoods or Hardie Boards. With a tool-free depth of drive adjustment, it is easy to flush or even countersink your nails. All you need to do is turn a dial mounted right in front of the trigger.
The trigger is also adjustable. You can set it to fire in sequential mode for those kinds of jobs that require exact nail positioning. However, if time is more important, you can quickly switch to bump fire mode, which allows you to drive nails by continually holding the trigger down and pressing the nozzle against your work.
A no-mar tip comes with the Duo-Fast DF225C Coil Siding Nailer System to protect your work from scratches, nicks, or dents. At the other end of the nailer is an exhaust air vent that can be rotated up to 360° without any tool to direct air away from you or your work.
With a grip that is fitted with soft non-slip rubber, working with the nailer is convenient. Its weight of only 4.5 lbs. further contributes to this. A belt hook made of metal is fastened to the grip for hanging the nailer when not in use.
