Accepting roofing nails with lengths ranging from 7/8 – 1-3/4 inches with wire collation, the Hitachi NV45AE Coil Roofing Nailer can be used for fastening most types of roofing materials.

The nailer is crafted with aluminum components to keep it lightweight and at the same time durable. Its ergonomic designed and balanced weight distribution makes it convenient to use and easier to control and maneuver. This results in less fatigue and less muscle soreness due to repetitive use. To ensure a secure hold, the grip handle is wrapped with Hitachi's patented elastomer composite material.

Since there is always the likelihood of laying down the nailer on sloped roofs, it is provided with a non-slip texture to keep it from sliding down. It also has rubber composite guards on the magazine and other sensitive areas for added protection. The nosepiece, for its part, has a three-point carbide insert for reduced wear and extended service life.

With an operating pressure of 70 to 120 PSI, the Hitachi roofing nailer is able to drive its fasteners into the hardest of hardwoods with ease. The volume of compressed air it requires, however, is only 70% of what most other roofing nailers need to run. Its bump firing speed is also faster by as much as 30%, and its recoil is likewise 30% less. Depth of drive is adjustable without the need for any tool.

Inside the Hitachi NV45AE Coil Roofing Nailer is a pneumatic nail feed mechanism that consistently powers nail advance and return. Its push lever integrates holes for the expulsion of tar and grime, and thus prevents their build up.

For the nailer's magazine, you have the option of choosing a side- or bottom-loading version. Both versions have a capacity of 120 nails, and are easy to load, thus reducing down time due to reloading. A nail magnet is incorporated with the magazine that keeps the last nail in place to prevent dry firing.
