Touted to be the toughest and lightest framing nailer produced by its makers, the Paslode PF350S PowerFrame Framing Nailer can withstand the harsh and difficult conditions of a construction site, but at the same time, it is also convenient and comfortable to use which results in less arm fatigue. Ease of use is further assured with its ergonomic grip handle that is wrapped with a soft cushion. With its compact design, it is easy to maneuver into tight spaces.
The nailer shoots framing nails with lengths ranging from 2 – 3½ inches and shank diameters between 0.113 and 0.131 inch. The nails are contained in a magazine that is angled at 30°. It accepts both full head and clipped nails, and it has a capacity of 84 pieces. In order to prevent blank firing, the magazine incorporates a nail lockout feature.
With an operating pressure that ranges from 80 – 120 PSI, the nailer consistently sinks nails into either hardwoods or engineered woods. You can also adjust nail depth. This is done without the need for any tool. There is a thumbwheel mounted on the work contact element that can be turned with your fingers to make the adjustments. If you want the nails to sink deeper, move the contact element back towards the machine. Conversely, if you want them to be shallower, move the contact element forward.
You also have the option of firing your nails either in a sequential or bounce operation mode. The adjusting mechanism for this is included within the trigger mechanism. The unit is pre-set in a sequential firing mode, but you can quickly reset this by removing the o-ring and trigger pivot pin located just above the trigger. Once removed, pull the trigger downward and replace the o-ring and pivot pin. There is a pointer on the nailer that points to icons indicating which firing mode the nailer is in.
