Operating without lubricants, the Porter-Cable DA250C Angled Finish Nailer will not soil or stain your delicate work with oil. This also means that the machine is a low-maintenance tool that does not require you to constantly monitor its oil level nor periodically top it with oil when necessary. Just keep on firing your nails away, and it will just keep on working.
To further assure you of a clean work, the nailer is fitted with adjustable exhaust vents keeping bursts of air that may contain contaminants away. To adjust the vents, you only need to rotate them with your hand. No tools are necessary.
The Porter-Cable DA250C drives 15 gauge DA style angled finish nails with lengths of from 1 to 2½ inches. These are contained in a magazine with a capacity of 100 nails. With this capacity, there is no need for constant reloads thus minimizing downtime due to reloading. Nevertheless, reloading is quick and easy as the magazine is reloaded at the rear, load and lock style. A low nail indicator allows you to easily see if you need to make a reload.
With a working pressure of 70 – 120 PSI, your nails are driven at the desired depths even into hardwoods. You do not, however, need to adjust your air compressor's output to set the pressure you need, as the machine is equipped with a depth-of-drive adjustment with detents. Like the exhaust vents, this feature also does not require tools.
At the front end of the nailer is a nozzle that can hold a non-marring nose tip which keeps your work free from scratches and nicks. Also, a lever that opens the nozzle provides a tool-free device to remove jammed nails.
Inside the nailer is an especially hardened driver blade that can absorb the impact hundred or even thousands of firing. And for a consistent delivery of maximum power at every shot, an internal piston catch is provided.
As the Porter-Cable DA250C is designed for finishing work that requires precise nail placement, it only fires sequentially. It has a lock-off switch to prevent accidental firing.
The body is constructed from lightweight yet strong die-cast aluminum. This, along with a rubber grip on the handle, makes working with the nailer convenient and comfortable. An ambidextrous adjustable hook completes the handle.
Measurements of the nailer are 9.75" x 10.4". It weighs only 2.6 lbs.
