Crafted to make fastening different roofing and siding materials quick and easy, the Porter-Cable RN175A Coil Roofing Nailer is equipped with all the features necessary to assure the same.
The nailer is designed to fire roofing nails with lengths of 7/8 to 1-3/4 inches and with a diameter of 0.120 inch. These are wire-collated at 15°. Owing to this collation, the magazine is angled backwards thus giving you better access to the work surface.
The magazine is a coil type container that can accommodate up to 120 pieces of roofing nails. With this many nails in your magazine, there is no need for frequent reloading. Equipped with two feed pawls that help move the nails from the magazine into the nozzle, jamming is minimized. In the unlikely event that nails do jam, the tool-free quick-release mechanism of the nozzle makes clearing a simple maneuver.
The Porter-Cable RN175A is a compact and lightweight nailer, making it convenient to carry even when you are climbing up ladders or standing on sloping roofs. Its even weight distribution makes it feel balanced as you grip it in your hands. And to provide a comfortable grip, the handle is wrapped with a soft rubber padding.
Inside the casing of the nailer is an internal piston catch mechanism that positions the piston in a way that it consistently delivers maximum force to drive the nails. Should you need to drive your nails quickly, you can set the nailer to contact actuation mode. On the other hand, if you want precise nail placement, you can easily switch to sequential mode.
Depth-of-drive is also adjustable without the need for any tools. Just turn a dial mounted in front of the trigger. With an operating pressure of 70 to 120 PSI, you can be confident that your nails will go as deep as you want them to.
