Designed for do-it-yourselfers, the Torque Horse THSF5040U Pro-Grade Nail or Staple Gun is an inexpensive tool that accomplishes most finishing work in your home, like adding moldings or beadings to your walls, doors, windows, or furniture; as well as baseboards and skirtings.
The Pro-Grade nail and staple gun is powered by compressed air, operating at a maximum air pressure of 100 PSI. At this pressure, it can easily drive gauge 18 brad nails with lengths varying from 5/8 of an inch to 2 inches.
You can also use the same nail magazine for loading gauge 18 staples measuring 5/8 inch to 1 5/8 inches in length. The Pro-Grade can just as easily fire the staples even into hardwoods and MDFs.
When loading nails, you can fill the magazine with up to 100 pieces. Staples, on the other hand, can only be stacked up to 74 pieces.
The handle of the nail and staple gun is tubular which provides a secure and comfortable hold even when squeezed tightly. It is wrapped with a soft yet durable grip that also prevents the gun from slipping from your hands.
Firing can be set in either of two modes –single or bounce fire. Single fire is the way to go if you are a beginner or if you only use your nail gun infrequently. In this mode, you will need to first press the gun's nozzle against the wood then pull the trigger to fire. You will have to release the trigger fully before you can fire your second nail.
Bounce fire is much quicker but it is for those with practice and experience. All you need to do to fire is press the nozzle against the wood.
The Torque Horse THSF5040U Pro-Grade Nail or Staple Gun has dimensions of 10 inches in height, 12 in length, and 4 in width. It weighs approximately 10 pounds.
